YOUTH HOMELESSNESS

IT'S THE END OF THE 2014-2015 FINANCIAL YEAR, and the good news is: 
Overwhelming response to homeless schoolgirl story

The tragedy is I was in the same situation in Melbourne in 1980(though not under a bridge). We were studying Macbeth by the 17th century Bard, Will Shakespeare and it spoke to me across the centuries.
I felt at home with the language;
Macbeth:
To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools
The way to dusty death. Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.

So what student support progress has been made in these 35 years? Not as much as there could have been!

There is an independent living Youth Allowance, there are Government funded youth welfare agencies - always under threat of cuts - no matter the success of the program.

It doesn't make common-sense to damage people in the short fiscal term or the long-term.
